I have to say that the Cuisinart griddler gr-4n is definitely one of the most popular electric griddles today, although it can work as a grill as well. Of course, the appliance can also work as a Panini press, electric griddle, grill, half griddle and half grill and a contact grill. This is the reason that the Cuisinart griddler is named 5 in 1 griddler, since it can function as five appliances, even though it's just one unit.
It's true that there are other electric grill griddle units in the market that are quite interesting, and some like the Cuisinart gr-4n griddler can work as other appliances too, but one of the most important things in any kitchen appliance, is how well does it perform. So, it doesn't matter if an indoor grill griddle for example, can only function as a grill or griddle, but if it heats up evenly and cook the food well – it's considered to be a great kitchen appliance that does it job.
The reason for this is that indeed not all units can cook the food the way you like it to be cooked, but for the time being we are not going to deal with the crap electric griddles but keep dealing with the Cuisinart griddler gr-4n that many people claim that it's a well designed electric griddle. Apparently, this particular griddler of Cuisinart has brushed stainless steel housing, as well as a cover that can adjust to the thickness of the food that is being grilled or cooked on the unit.
Moreover, the handles are also well designed and resemble the look for Panini press handles, and there is an integrated drip tray that is supposed to drain the grease that is created when cooking on the Cuisinart Griddler GR-4N. The unit also comes with removable cooking plates that can be removed from the griddler and be washed with hot water and soap (it is possible to put the plates in the dishwasher).
It's true that the Cuisinart gr-4n griddler isn't a large electric grill, but it can take the place of the average electric griddle or grill since it does a nice job when grilling steaks, cooking chicken breasts, pancakes and much more. The appliance also comes with a three year limited warranty, as well as a scraper tool that can be cleaned in the dishwasher and a gourmet recipe book which the user can choose recipes that to try with the Cuisinart griddler. Of course, you are not limited to use the recipes in the cookbook.
Overall, this griddler is quite interesting and it looks like a quality kitchen appliance that can function as an indoor grill griddle, electric griddle and other appliances all in this one unit. The negative point in the griddler of Cuisinart would be its expensive price.

After using the Cuisinart Griddler for a couple of weeks I must say that I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase.
ReplyDeleteIt's simple to cook and clean with it and after you remove cooking plates it becomes even easier to clean.
On the other hand, I wish that the griddle would have been bigger since I have a large family - but it's a GREAT product and I would buy it again.
It looks like an interesting product that I might add to my collection of kitchen appliances. I'll try to remember the name if this model - the cuisinart 5 in 1 gr-4n griddler, and perhaps I should try and purchase this one.
